Senses

In the senses project, children learnt the importance of our 5 senses. These are some of the activities done for the senses project.

Sense of Smell
Children smelt various smells walking around the school compound and discussed on the differences e.g flowers, dustbin, smoke.

Sense of Hearing
A class activity where children sat quiet for 2 mins and listened to all the sounds heard and then together we named them all. They also listened to different sounds on the smart board and had to guess what they are. the sounds included animal noises and musical instruments.

Sense of sight
Children made binoculars after learning the importance of eyes.

Sense of Taste
Children tasted different foods that they had brought from home. They learnt the difference between salty, sweet, bitter and sour.

It must have been bitter or sour ;-)

Sense of Touch
Here children made butterflies by sticking different texture materials on it. We later displayed them on our outside the class board.

Mufaddal made a senses book at home which he brought to show his class.

Finally, everything put together on our classroom board.
