Blob Painting

As per our set art curriculum one of the criteria is "Blob Painting" where children get thrilled with the result. Children first put different colors paint blobs on paper. Once covered they fold the paper in half pressing the paint together. After opening the paper again which reveals a beautiful image that resembles a butterfly.

Fruits

Our next project after plants was yummy and healthy fruits! We learnt about the importance of eating fruits and its benefit to our body. Children observed the different ways fruits are stored. We discussed many ways we can eat them. The children did various activities as shown below. For our activity, we did paper mache, where children created fruits and painted them.
We played a game where children tried guessing the fruit by tasting them while they were blindfolded.
We also made delicious lemonade and later, made a craft of lemonade glass and a rhyme to sing along with.
The children also learnt about dried fruits and got to taste a few of them. We also made a graph on the favourite fruit of Kg 2.
It was an appetizing project!

Hajj Demonstration

The Nursery were privileged to view a practical lesson on the holy pilgrimage of Hajj. Janab Shk. Hunaidbhai conducted a simple demonstration of the events that take place during the Hajj time by showing a powerpoint presentation. Two children from Kg 2 and Kg 3 were chosen to take as an example and then the whole nursery got a turn to follow out the 'tawaf' and "safa marwa" . Children were then offered zam zam water.
